The screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800 for true high-definition and a contrast ratio of 300:1 for deep blacks and bright whites. The screen swivels 90 degrees left and right so anyone can watch. This system has a built-in DVD player, so you can watch your favorite movies. It’s also equipped with a USB and SD card reader, so you can get your music and MP4 videos right on, or hook this monitor up to an external source using the RCA inputs. We shopped around, and decided on this product, hoping that it would work in the car and be fairly easy to install, having a trip coming the very next day. Well, it works in the car great, but installing was fairly tricky. What made it tricky was the wiring - because of the rear climate controls are wired through the factory entertainment system wiring harness. We did have to get the wiring schematics for our vehicle, in order to be able to cut out the factory wiring harness so the rear climate control and rear speakers would function properly. Once the right schematics were found, it wasn't that tough, we just needed to follow carefully where to cut and what wires to connect together. Mounting it to the roof was not easy, and if the product would have been slightly larger, we couldn't have used the factory installed DVD placing. If the Dvd is not acting up it works just fine. |
